French Business Process Services (BPS) company Tessi partners with Russian developers of ID recognition systems Smart Engines to create new possibilities for numerous European enterprises in terms of digital business transformation. The cooperation allows bringing organizational change through the use of Smart Engines proprietary AI-based solutions, by their integration into business services ecosystem.

For the past 10 years the team of 60 scientists, including 2 Doctors of Science and 17 PhDs, has been engaged in solving R&D problems related to document recognition. Main products of Smart Engines are computer vision solutions and document analysis systems. The company is also well known in the scientific community as a key player in the field of artificial intelligence.
Under the Technology Partnership with Smart Engines, Tessi will be able to go a step forward on document data management for its customers, by offering a strong automation of personal data extraction from passports, ID cards, and driver’s licenses in mobile applications and online services using Smart IDReader. The solution provides high-precision recognition of over 1,100 identity document types from more than 200 countries, and has been successfully used in remote customer service, for KYC / AML, as a tool that complies with personal data regulations. Smart Engines algorithms are based on Green OCR technology, actually using optimized and energy-efficient neural networks, that increased specific productivity and reduced energy consumption.
